Your babies are in safe hands in the IVF Laboratory!

in vitro fertilization laboratoryIn the In Vitro Fertilization treatment at the IVF center, the focus of our work is to properly collect the eggs from the expectant mother and make them ready for transfer as quality embryos by performing classical in vitro fertilization or microinjection. In order to prevent multiple pregnancies, it is the job of our laboratory team, under the responsibility of the embryologist, to continue the culture until the blastocyst (Day 5 embryo) stage, so that 1 or at most 2 embryos can be selected in order to prevent multiple pregnancies.

In vitro fertilization treatment The laboratory plays a very critical role. Providing good results is possible for the laboratory to be well planned, equipped with the necessary devices, embryologists, meticulous work and the establishment of a serious quality control system. Since the factors that determine success are hidden in the details, it is necessary to check the working environment and equipment at regular intervals and eliminate any problems immediately.
All procedures to be performed for diagnosis and treatment purposes in embryology and andrology laboratories, where isolation and sterilization are essential, are standardized in accordance with national and international standards. Entry and exit to our laboratory has been reduced to a minimum and only personnel on duty can enter the laboratory with appropriate clothing. The installation, maintenance and calibration of the devices used in the laboratory are carried out at appropriate intervals by people with technical knowledge. Daily cleaning is done in the morning before starting operations.
The CO2, O2 humidity and water levels in the machines called incubators where the embryos are kept are checked and if deviations are observed, immediate action is taken. The temperatures of the cabins where eggs, sperm and embryos are processed, the refrigerator temperatures, the temperatures of the microscope surfaces where microinjection is applied, and the heating blocks are checked and recorded in the lists. The air quality of the laboratory is very important.
Our ventilation system is specific to the IVF center and is separate from the main building. In our center, in addition to the HEPA filters in the air conditioner, CODA filters and active carbon filters for volatile organic compounds are used. This feature is a technology used in very few laboratories and makes the air quality of the laboratory close to ideal.

Filters change periodically. The pH (acidity) values of the chemicals in which the embryos are stored are measured with each new order and, if necessary, the incubator settings are adjusted again. The liquid nitrogen levels of the tanks where the embryos are stored frozen are checked twice a week and nitrogen is added if it is below a certain level.
Data regarding each parameter measured and observed during quality control processes are meticulously recorded. However, the most important condition is the quality of the embryology laboratory personnel who will perform quality control and evaluate the overall performance.
IVF Our laboratory team working at the center consists of experienced people who have been working on this field for many years.
