Trichomonas Infection

The most common parasitic disease transmitted through sexual intercourse is trichomonas.  trichomonas It is a common vaginal infection and Trichomonas Vaginalis It is caused by a parasite called.

Trichomonas Vaginalis is a microorganism that moves with its tail and can easily reproduce in the vaginal environment and cause vaginitis. Although it is known that it is generally transmitted through sexual intercourse, it is also thought to be transmitted from shared toilets, towels and underwear, and from the pool.

What are the symptoms?
The most common symptoms of Trichomonas vaginitis are yellow-greenish foamy, foul-smelling abundant vaginal discharge and itching, often in the vulva (outer part of the genital area). Burning, stinging and painful sensations are often observed during sexual intercourse. Since trichomonas vaginitis is in the group of sexually transmitted diseases, the woman's partner must also be treated. Because it is a type of infection that often does not cause symptoms in men. It is also thought that this infection causes the waters to break early during pregnancy and the threat of premature birth.

How is it diagnosed?
It is not actually difficult for an experienced physician to diagnose this infection by listening to complaints and examining. But if you want to be absolutely sure, a sample is taken from the vagina in women and the discharge from the urinary tract in men, and this sample is examined under a microscope.

Prevention method
It is very important to comply with sexually transmitted disease prevention measures to prevent infection. The most effective method of protection against such diseases is to use condoms. Other rules that must be followed include being careful in public toilets, not sharing private items such as underwear and towels with others, and not entering pools unless you are sure they are clean.
